Giants’ next offensive line coach will have plenty of work to do
Just a couple of months ago the New York Giants and head coach Joe Judge decided to fire offensive line coach Marc Colombo and hire veteran coach Dave DeGuglielmo to take over for the rest of the season.
Well now that the 2020 season is over for the Giants, they have to find a new coach. They tried to work out a contract with DeGuglielmo, but it looks like both sides couldn’t come to an agreement, according to Dan Duggan of The Athletic.
It will be interesting to see who the Giants bring in. Hopefully they learned that a young newer coach like Columbo may not be the answer with how many young and inexperienced players they have on their offensive line.
This will be the Giants’ fourth offensive line coach in three years. For continuity purposes and the sake of their young players, let’s hope the Giants can hire a new offensive line coach and keep him for the next few years. As soon as we have more information on who New York is looking to hire, we will update you.
Right now some names are being floated around are Ben Wilkerson, James Campmen, Cole Popovich, Carmen Bricillo and Jeff Stoutland.
