Things don’t look bad for 2021
I think one of the most misleading stats in the NFL is when you look at a team’s strength of schedule before any season begins. This is because you truly never know how good a team is until you get through the first 3-4 games. That is usually when the bad teams are separated from the good ones. But even then you don’t know which teams are the best.
Now when looking at the 2021 NFL season, the Giants have the fourth easiest schedule in the NFL, according to Giants Wire.
Of course a big part of this is due to the fact that the NFC East was so bad in 2020 and the best team, the Washington Football Team, finished with a 7-9 record.
We also still don’t know what the Giants’ schedule will actually be, we only know their opponents. And the way things are scheduled have a big impact on the outcome of games.
When looking at the Giants’ opponents for 2021 there is no doubt that the toughest will be the Kansas City Chiefs. Other than them the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints could also be very difficult. Of course I’m talking about outside of the NFC East, which seems to be a very unpredictable division at the moment.
