Jeremy Pruitt has found a new home
Last year New York Giants’ head coach Joe Judge hired former University of Wisconsin and University of Arkansas head coach Bret Beilema and gave him a job as a defensive assistant.
Well, now that Bielema has left to become the head coach of the University if Illinois, it looks like Judge wants to once again bring on another former college head coach.
Dan Duggan of The Athletic and Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com are reporting that Judge and the Giants are hiring former University of Tennessee head coach and Alabama assistant Jeremy Pruitt.
As of right now, no one knows what Pruitt will coach, but he will be working on the defensive side of the ball, according to Stapleton.
Pruitt played college ball at Middle Tennessee and Alabama as a defensive back in the mid-1990’s. Aside from Tennessee, he’s coached at Alabama and Georgia. I would imagine that Pruitt will coach with the Giants for a year or two and then head back to college like Bielema. He’s only 46 years-old, so he has plenty of coaching left in him.
