Robert Saleh sounds silly
Newly hired New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh was a guest on Huddle & Flow podcast with Steve Wyche and Jim Trotter on Friday
“The fan base is so passionate. We always make fun of Michigan for kind of being more the uppity-ups, sit on your hands, where the Spartan fans are a little bit more rambunctious, a little bit more passionate, a little bit more—they’re louder…
“When we’ve played the Jets in the past versus the Giants—no disrespect to them, they’re absolutely a phenomenal franchise,” said Saleh, via Bleacher Report. But the Jets’ fan base… feels more invested… in the way they are just so passionate about their team.”
It sounds like Saleh is trying to get the Jets’ fanbase fired up by talking bad about the Giants’ fanbase. One thing he will hopefully learn quickly is that he’s wasting his breathe because there really isn’t a rivalry between both teams. It’s manufactured because they play in the same stadium and have been for decades.
Nonetheless, Salah will likely be hated by the Giants’ fans that he insulted.
