Giants are not getting Deshaun Watson
I’ve already made it clear that a trade for Houston Texans’ quarterback Deshaun Watson doesn’t make sense. Now it doesn’t even look like they even have what it takes to pull off a deal.
John McClain of the Houston Chronicle mentioned on Twitter that the Texans will want two first round picks, two second round picks and at least two young defensive starters.
The Giants have the draft picks, but they certainly don’t have the two young defensive players and they’re not going to give up cornerback James Bradberry and I highly doubt Houston would want him anyway. But he’s one of their top players. Aside from him they have linebacker Blake Martinez that’s it. Neither is enough for Watson when there are teams with more assets out there like the New York Jets.
Right now, most fans won’t like to hear this, but the Giants need to focus on building up their defense and surrounding quarterback Daniel Jones with talent. They spent a high draft pick on him and need to really find out how good he is.
When it comes to Watson, I got a feeling he will end up with the Jets.
