Gregory Rousseau is a heck of a player
The New York Giants will have plenty of talented players to choose from when they’re on the clock with the 11th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Bucky Brooks of NFL.com has released his first mock draft of 2021 and has the Giants taking University of Miami edge rusher Gregory Rousseau. Here’s what he wrote:
Rousseau is an intriguing option for the Giants with his athleticism, length and sack production.
Rousseau is a monster at 6-foot-7, 265 pounds. In 2019 alone he was second in the country with 15.5 sacks, right behind Chase Young. He decided to opt out of the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I can’t say I blame him, especially after putting up the numbers he did the previous season.
One thing though that is interesting is that Brooks has the Giants taking Rousseau over Alabama wide receiver Devonta Smith. If both are on the board at 11, it will be interesting to see what general manager Dave Gettleman decides to do.
The Giants could decide to take a wide receiver in the second or third round due to the fact that this draft is loaded at that position.
