Stop dreaming, Deshaun Watson isn’t coming to the Giants
Despite the fact that Houston Texans’ quarterback Deshaun Watson wants to be traded, one team that will not be in the mix is the New York Giants.
Jordan Raanan of ESPN mentioned on his Breaking Big Blue podcast this week that the Giants will not be pursuing a deal for Watson.
As good as Watson is, the Giants can’t afford to make an offer to the Texans and then have current starting quarterback Daniel Jones somehow find out. That would not bold well for their relationship with current starting him ones. Not to mention they can’t afford to give up what the Texans are looking for in return and they don’t have everything they want either.
Right now New York need to focus on building their roster through free agency and the draft. They need to add some more depth to their offensive line, add another wide receiver, a good number two cornerback opposite of James Bradberry, an edge rusher and many other positions on their roster need to be upgraded.
