Giants make Rob Sale their next offensive line coach
The New York Giants have been looking for a new offensive line coach since their season ended about a month ago and Dave DeGuglielmo was unable to agree on a new contract with the organization.
DeGuglielmo ended up agreeing to become the new offensive line at Louisiana Tech last week and now the Giants have finally signed a new offensive line coach themselves that was coaching down in Louisiana last season.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported on Monday that the Giants are hiring UL Ragin’ Cajuns offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Rob Sale as their new offensive line coach.
This will be the 41 year-old Sale’s first job in the NFL after spending time coaching at the high school level in 2006, Alabama (2007-11), McNeese State (2012-14), Georgia (2015), Louisiana-Monroe (2016), Arizona State (2017) and most recently Louisiana Lafeyette.
Judge knows Sale from their time at Alabama together, so that clearly helped bring him to the Giants. Not only did Sale work for Saban at Bama, but he also played for him at LSU. He helped two Ragin Cajun players get drafted last year, including one in the second round.
