Wayne Gallman is one of the Giants’ top free agents
Two of the biggest names on the New York Giants that are set to become free agents this offseason are defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlins and Leonard Williams. But there is a list of a lot more players that will hit the open market as well.
Below is the complete list of players on the Giants’ roster that will become free agents very soon.
- LB Kyler Fackrell
- OT Cam Fleming
- RB Wayne Gallman
- DL Austin Johnson
- LS Casey Kreiter
- RB Dion Lewis
- QB Colt McCoy
- RB Alfred Morris
- C Spencer Pulley
- LB Jabaal Sheard
- DL Dalvin Tomlinson
- DL Leonard Williams
Many of the players above will likely re-sign with the Giants due to the fact that they can’t find another team that will pay them more than what New York might be offering them.
Aside from Williams and Tomlinson, I think the Giants will have a hard time keeping back-up running back Wayne Gallman after his breakout season in 2020. I would imagine that they will let him shop himself around after making an initial offer to see if he can get paid more elsewhere.
I believe defensive lineman Jabaal Sheard will end up re-signing due to the fact that he played well after the Giants signed him off of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice squad during the season. He seemed to be a good fit for defensive coordinator Patrick Graham’s unit.
It will be interesting to see whether or not the Giants re-sign outside linebacker Kyler Fackrell, who had a solid season in 2020. He’s a solid edge rusher, but they obviously need an upgrade at outside linebacker.
