There’s more to see than Trevor Lawrence
It’s obvious by now that Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence will not slip past the Jacksonville Jaguars who have the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Even though Lawrence is highly likely to be drafted by the Jags, the New York Giants are in attendance at the Clemson pro day on Friday to likely take a look at some other players.
Now let’s be real, the Giants will of course get a look at Lawrence, but in reality they’re attending the Clemson pro day to take a look at the players that can possibly help them.
Some players that the Giants might take a good look at are running back Travis Etienne, offensive tackle Jackson Carman, wide receiver Cornell Powell and wide receiver Amari Rodgers.
I would imagine that the guys that I just mentioned above that New York is most interested in are Powell and Rodgers because if they aren’t able to get one of the big three receivers in this draft with the 11th overall pick, they could still get a steal later on because of how deep this receiver class is.
Powell finished the 2020 season with 53 receptions for 882 yards and seven touchdowns. And Rodgers racked up 77 receptions for 1,020 yards and seven touchdowns.
With how deep this draft class is at the receiver position both Rodgers and Powell will likely be taken between the second and fourth round.
