Emmanuel Acho lands dream job working for ABC
It was reported during the week that former New York Giants’ defensive end Michael Strahan could end up becoming the new host of “The Bachelor.”
It turns out that Strahan didn’t end up getting the gig and it instead was given to former Giant and NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho. He announced the news on Saturday on Twitter.
The 30 year-old Acho played in the NFL from 2012-2015 and spent time with the Cleveland Browns (2012), Giants (2013), Philadelphia Eagles (2013-15). He was selected in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Browns and didn’t do much as a player until he played for the Eagles. He finished his NFL career with a total of 33 tackles.
Since retiring from football, Acho has done some media work for ESPN and FOX Sports. He still works for FOX Sports, appearing as an analyst on “Speak for Yourself.”
No one knows if Acho will be the new host of “The Bachelor” from here on out or if it’s a temporary move. So I would imagine that Strahan could still end up with the job, especially if the network doesn’t like how Acho performs on television.
