Jaylen Waddle is a game-changer
Former NFL general manager and current NFL Network analyst Charley Casserly has released his first NFL mock draft of 2021.
In his mock, Casserly has the Giants taking University of Alabama wide receiver Jaylen Waddle with the 11th overall pick. Here’s what he wrote:
Big Blue’s offense looks a lot different with a healthy Saquon Barkley and Waddle on the field.
I think we all agree that the Giants’ offense will be very good with Waddle and Barkley on the field together. Especially in a year in which New York need starting quarterback Daniel Jones to make a big leap forward.
Barkley and Waddle together would be quite a one-two punch because having Waddle on the outside would make it really hard for defenses to load the box to stop Barkley.
Casserly also has Michigan edge rusher Kwity Paye going to the San Francisco 49ers at 12 and Florida tight end Kyle Pitts falling to the New England Patriots at 15. Both are options for the Giants if they’re unable to get a receiver at 11.
