Jaylen Waddle is the kind of weapon the Giants need
You can argue that the number one need this offseason for the New York Giants is to obtain a top-end wide receiver in order to give starting quarterback Daniel Jones more weapons as he enters a pivotal year.
The Giants always did a nice job of giving former starting quarterback Eli Manning plenty of targets, whether it was Plaxico Burress, Jeremy Shockey, Kevin Boss, Steve Smith, Mario Manningham qndHakeem Nicks. General manager Dave Gettleman needs to do the same for Jones.
The most well-known NFL Draft analyst, ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. stated on a conference call on Monday that he doesn’t see University of Alabama wide receiver Jaylen Waddle falling past the Giants at 11.
Big Blue View shared the news on Twitter.
I think Kiper is stating the obvious here. I don’t think any of the top three receivers in this year’s draft would get past the Giants, whether it’s Waddle, Ja’Marr Chase or Devonta Smith.
Now out of all three, Waddle has the best chance at slipping to 11. The other two guys will certainly be taken in the top-10.
