Leonard Williams is one of the top free agents this offseason
With free agency kicking off very soon, Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com has ranked the top 101 free agents and both Leonard WIlliams and Dalvin Tomlinson have made the list.
Rosenthal has Tomlinson ranked 34th, which seems to be a fair ranking for a player that is very good, but not one of the best defensive lineman in the NFL. Here’s what Rosenthal wrote about him:
If you need a consistent big body to anchor the middle of your defensive line, Tomlinson is a fine choice. Guys with his size and strength inevitably get huge dollars.
Then we have Williams who is ranked fourth, right behind wide receiver Allen Robinson and before safety Justin Simmons. Here’s what Rosenthal wrote:
Giants GM Dave Gettleman was right. Unleashed in an attacking scheme, Williams was one of football’s best interior linemen last year and is about to be paid like it.
As of right now, I don’t expect the Giants to be able to re-sign both players and you shouldn’t either, even though there is a way to get it done. At least according to former New York Jets’ general manager Mike Tannenbaum.
