Sounds like Evan Engram is staying
Aside from the top three wide receivers in this year’s draft and edge rushers like Kwity Paye and Gregory Rousseau, the one player that has been mocked to the New York Giants the most has been Florida tight end Kyle Pitts.
Now it does make sense that so many people are predicting that the Giants will take Pitts with how poorly Evan Engram played in 2020 with all of the key drops he made during the season.
Despite a rough season for Engram, head coach Joe Judge made it clear during his press conference on Tuesday that he is their guy and they’re not moving on from him.
Engram is heading into the final year of his rookie contract, so if the Giants wanted to move on from him, I don’t think anyone would blame them, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Right now though, it looks like the Giants will have Engram at least play out the final year of his contract. If they’re not happy with his play in 2021, they could look for his replacement next year.
