Jaylen Waddle to the Giants again
With so many NFL mock drafts being released over the course of the past couple of months, it’s pretty obvious that Alabama wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is probably the most popular pick for the New York Giants.
Bruce Feldman of The Athletic has released his latest mock draft and he has the Giants taking Waddle. Here’s what he wrote:
Daniel Jones needs more playmakers, and this guy will help the Giants’ offense and special teams in a big way. Waddle isn’t very big at about 5 feet 10 and 185 pounds, but he has dazzling quickness and was having a fantastic 2020 season before breaking his ankle in the Tide’s fifth game. His worst game of the four he played was a six-catch, 120-yard performance against Ole Miss.
I like Waddle more than his college teammate Devonta Smith because of his explosiveness and versatility.
While I don’t think Waddle will be able to come in right away and be a number one receiver for the Giants, he will certainly open things up down field for guys like Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram.
