I doubt Dalvin Tomlinson will re-sign with the Giants
With the New York Giants using the franchise tag on defensive lineman Leonard Williams last week they made it clear that their main goal is making sure he doesn’t go anywhere.
When it comes to Williams’ teammate Dalvin Tomlinson, he’s made it clear he wants to stick around even though his future in the Big Apple is uncertain.
“When you get drafted by a team, you always see yourself back there because that’s your home,” Tomlinson said, via Giants Country. “So of course, I can see myself back there and I would be more than happy to stay. But it’s a business and with the cap space [situation], I just have to take it one day at a time. But I always see it as a possibility for me to be a New York Giant for life.
“Everyone wants to be a part of something they helped start. It would be a blessing to be back in New York with the Giants to say the least. What we are building reminds me of old school Giants football.”
The fact of the matter is that it will be much easier for the Giants to find a replacement for Tomlinson than Williams. They seem to have a knack for finding very good run-stoppers in the draft over the years.
The one thing about Tomlinson though that sets him apart from other defensive lineman is his leadership.
