Kevin Zeitler didn’t take long in signing new contract with another team
After being released by the New York Giants just five days ago, offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler has already found a new team.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is reporting that Zeitler has agreed to a three-year $22 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens that will pay him $16 million guaranteed.
This is a great move for the Ravens. Hopefully they can get better production out of Zeitler than the Giants did because despite how good he was for them, he didn’t play at the level they expected after trading for him.
So instead of making over $10 million a year like he did with the Giants, Zeitler will make under $8 million a season with the Ravens. With how hard it is to find good offensive lineman, it doesn’t surprise me that a team has already signed him.
The Giants will have to look to the draft or free agency to add some depth along their offensive line.
Free agency officially begins on Wednesday for players whose contracts are running out. But teams can start “tampering” today.
