The Giants might be looking for a new tight end
With all of the drops that New York Giants starting tight end Evan Engram had last season, people have been wondering if he will be their long term answer at tight end with his contract running out in 2022.
It turns out that the Giants in fact tried to sign Hunter Henry before he agreed to play for the New England Patriots, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.
Henry would have been nice, but I wonder if the Giants would have tried to trade Engram then. Also does this mean they’re willing to use the 11th overall pick on Florida’s Kyle Pitts? The next couple of months are going to be very interesting.
Raanan also stated that the Giants were close to signing pass rusher Leonard Floyd, but he instead chose to re-sign with the Los Angeles Rams.
Not being able to sign Floyd is a big miss. With him out of the picture, the Giants need to focus on Kyle Van Noy or Hasson Reddick right now.
