Giants looking to bolster their secondary
Update: Jackson will be visiting the Giants on Sunday, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.
Original: While the New York Giants are honed in on possibly signing free agent wide receiver Kenny Golladay, they still need to add a cornerback either in free agency or in the draft next month.
We already know that the Giants were interested in cornerback Michael Davis before he re-signed with the Los Angeles Chargers. Now they’re eyeing another corner.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Giants are bringing in free agent cornerback Adoree Jackson for a visit.
NFL insider Josina Anderson is also reporting that Jackson might meet with the Philadelphia Eagles as well.
The 25 year-old Jackson was the 18th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans after playing his college ball at USC.
For his NFL career so far, Jackson has 200 tackles, three forced fumbles, 33 pass deflections and two interceptions. His Pro Football Focus grade from 2020 was pretty bad at 58.7.
One Giants’ player that knows Jackson well is safety Logan Ryan from his time with the Titans. He might be doing some recruiting.
