Kenny Golladay excited to join Giants
Shortly after the New York Giants signed wide receiver Kenny Golladay to a massive four-year, $72 million contract on Saturday, he spoke with the media via Zoom.
Golladay told reporters that Giants’ starting quarterback Daniel Jones reached out to him and helped him make the decision to sign with Big Blue.
“We’re trying to do something great here,” is what Jones told Golladay and he said that is exactly what he’s about.
Even though Jones is heading into a critical season and there are questions about his future in New York if he doesn’t take a big leap forward in 2021, Golladay said, “I want to grow with him.”
Golladay also made it clear that he likes the vision that Giants’ head coach Joe Judge has for his team.
Jones has also come out and commented on the Giants signing Golladay.
“I’m very excited to have Kenny. He’s been a big time playmaker in this league. When we spoke, he was interested in the culture we have in the building and the mindset of the team. I think he had heard it from coaches but wanted to hear how we saw it as players and how much we believed in it. I think finding the right fit in that sense was important to him. I can’t wait to get out on the field and get to work with him,” said Jones, via Jordan Raanan of ESPN.
