A lot has changed for the Giants
The New York Giants filled some major needs over the past week by signing free agents Kenny Golladay and Adoree Jackson. But they still have some areas of need heading into the 2021 NFL Draft.
Once again, I used Pro Football Focus’ NFL draft simulator and made the following picks based on the best player that was available.
1st Round (11) – Alabama WR Devonta Smith
I know the Giants just added Golladay, but there’s no way they can pass up on Devonta Smith if he falls to them at 11 in favor of an edge rusher or even an offensive lineman.
2nd Round (43) – NC State DL Alim McNeill
With Dalvin Tomlinson now a member of the Minnesota Vikings, McNeill would be a good pick to replace him.
3rd Round (75) – Texas EDGE Joseph Ossai
The Giants can grab an edge rusher in the third round with Texas’ Joseph Ossai.
4th Round (116) – Illinois G Kendrick Green
With Kevin Zeitler now gone, the Giants need to add some depth at the guard position. This is where Green comes in.
6th Round (197) – Notre Dame G Tommy Kraemer
The sixth round is all about value and if the guy you take this late doesn’t make your final roster that’s OK. But drafting Kraemer would create some competition in camp, which is a good thing for a young offensive line,
6th Round (202) – Penn State C Michal Menet
The Giants could use some competition at center. Nick Gates will likely start in 2021, but his back-up isn’t set in stone.
