Will Kyle Rudolph still sign with the Giants?
The New York Giants agreed to sign free agent tight end Kyle Rudolph last week, but now it looks like his addition to their roster could be in jeopardy.
Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network reported on Tuesday night that after undergoing a physical with the Giants, the team believes he will need to undergo foot surgery.
Garafolo says the deal isn’t over, but both sides will need to work things out.
Rudolph did miss some time this past season with a foot injury. It’s interesting that he didn’t undergo surgery prior to the start of free agency. I wonder if the Vikings’ doctors told him he didn’t need to undergo surgery. The Giants’ opinion is clearly that he needs to get operated on.
I would imagine that both sides will work things out. Maybe they lower his salary or have some kind of injury clause in the deal as it pertains to his foot. I get the feeling he will still sign with the Giants.
