Kyler Fackrell is headed out west
With the New York Giants already signing some free agent outside linebackers like Ryan Anderson, as well as having Lorenzo Carter and Xavier Ximines, the writing was on the wall that they weren’t going to bring veteran back Kyler Fackrell.
I also believe without a doubt that the Giants will select an edge rusher within the first rounds of next month’s NFL Draft because they still need a difference-maker that can get after opposing quarterbacks on a consistent basis.
The Los Angeles Chargers announced on Wednesday night that they have in fact signed Fackrell.
Fackrell is 29 years-old and was a third round pick of the Green Bay Packers in 2016. He only played for the Giants in 2020 on a one-year deal. He recorded 33 tackles, four sacks, two pass deflections and one interception that ended being a pick-six against the Dallas Cowboys. Fackrell played in 12 games and started nine for the Giants.
Fackrell is a good player that can help any team around the NFL as a special teams player as well provide depth on defense.
