Giants likely eying Micah Parsons
With the New York Giants having a lot of flexibility with the 11th overall pick in next month’s NFL Draft, head coach Joe Judge was in attendance at Penn State’s pro day on Thursday.
Of course one prospect that I’m sure Judge and the Giants are eyeing is edge rusher Micah Parsons, who ran a very impressive forty yard dash.
Parsons didn’t play for the Nittany lions in 2020 due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. He was dominant during his first two seasons at Penn State with 109 tackles and five sacks as a sophomore in 2019. He had 82 tackles and 1.5 sacks as a freshman in 2018.
With the Giants filling their needs at wide receiver and cornerback via free agency, they could certainly use the 11th overall pick to take a pas rusher like Parsons.
Aside from edge rusher, the Giants’ other big need is at offensive guard. But if they take the best player available it could be wide receivers Devonta Smith or Jaylen Waddle coming to the Big Apple if they fall out of the top-10.
