Giants showing they’re ready to compete
One player on the New York Giants that has been huge when it comes to helping them reel in talent via free agency this offseason has been veteran safety Logan Ryan.
Ryan was a guest on SiriusXM NFL Radio Thursday afternoon and stated that he loves how the Giants have spent big.
“You obviously are telling the fans and the locker room that our upper management is trying to win, they’re trying to pay to bring in talented players,” Ryan said, via Giants Wire.
“That’s a sign of ‘Hey, we’re being aggressive, we want to put a winning product on the field, and we’re willing to get the players to go ahead and do that.’”
Ryan also went out his way to court Adoree Jackson by flying up from his home in Florida to have dinner with him last Sunday before he met with the Giants. Of course he soon after signed with New York on Monday.
“I think that that offer helped too, that offers play influential money will never steer you wrong,” Ryan said.
“We started three years’ worth of games together. We started AFC championship games together every day in practice pushed each other. I know him, well, I know him and his girlfriend really well, so I just wanted to make sure he was okay and let them know that man, he’s got a bright career ahead of him and it’s just getting started.”
After finishing the 2020 season with six wins, I don’t see how this team can’t get at least nine wins in 2021. I know they have questions on when it comes to the Giants’ offensive line and at the edge rusher position, but I think they will fill those needs in the draft next month.
