Daniel Jones needs to put everything together in 2021
New York Giants’ tight end Kyle Rudolph was a recent guest on The Pat McAfee Show and stated that he believes that quarterback Daniel Jones can be an “Andrew Luck-type quarterback.”
“He’s a stud and then you watch him over the last two years and — you said it — he’s got all the intangibles to be an Andrew Luck-type quarterback. Hopefully we put a bunch of pieces around him and we can take some of the pressure off of him, let him just go out there and play with confidence and let all those attributes and abilities take over,” Rudolph said.
Jones’ teammate, safety Logan Ryan also told Colin Cowherd that thinks that Jones can be an elite quarterback.
“Daniel Jones has everything you need to be an elite QB. The thing he needs is experience & you can’t rush that,” said Ryan.
Ryan is right, you can’t rush some quarterbacks. Not every player is going to be great right away. My expectation is that Jones will take a big step forward this coming season with all of the weapons that the Giants have added.
When it comes to Golladay, Ryan is right, his presence on the team will force the defense to step up their game and make them better in practice. I think the Giants went from a D+ roster to a B+ roster from the moves they’ve made already. There are still questions with the offensive line and they need an elite pass rusher, which they will hopefully get in the draft.
