John Mara is staying positive
With the New York Giants spending loads of money this offseason in free agency, co-owner John Mara has made it clear that he believes they’re good enough to make the playoffs.
“I think our roster is good enough to make the playoffs,” Mara told The New York Post.
Mara also said that he believes quarterback Daniel Jones is good enough to win a Super Bowl.
“Yes he does. I can say that without any hesitation,” said Mara when asked if he believes Jones looks like a quarterback that will win the Super Bowl.
I’m glad that Mara believes in his team as well as Jones. When it comes to the pieces that the Giants have added this offseason, I agree with him that they’re good enough to make the playoffs.
The Giants filled a lot of needs over just the past two weeks alone, but they still have some questions along the offensive line and edge rusher positions.
When it comes to Jones being a Super Bowl quarterback, I don’t believe anyone can predict that right now. I think Mara is being hopeful. All we can do is wait and see how he plays with the new weapons that he now has at his disposal.
