Micah Parsons looks like he could be a monster in the NFL
The New York Giants’ secondary is stacked heading into the 2021 season. All they need now is a difference maker at the linebacker position.
Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports posted his latest NFL Mock draft and has the Giants using the 11th overall pick on Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons.
Parsons is a perfect fit for Patrick Graham’s defense and will thrive in New York, which needs a linebacker after addressing the skill position players in free agency. The Giants leave offensive tackle Rashawn Slater on the board in order to grab Parsons, an early favorite for defensive rookie of the year.
What’s interesting about this mock is that Kerr has the Giants taking Parsons over wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, who fell to the Philadelphia Eagles at 12.
I know the Giants just signed Kenny Golladay, but Waddle could be a better prospect. Like I’ve said before, what the Giants do at 11 will highly depend on their draft board and where guys are ranked. If Parsons and Waddle are very close to one another, they likely would go with Parsons.
Another player that slipped past the Giants in this mock is Northwestern offensive tackle Reshawn Slater, who’s another guy that could certainly help them.
