Devonta Smith would be great for the Giants
Even though the New York Giants added wide receiver Kenny Golladay in free agency this offseason, I still think they could take a receiver with the 11th overall pick.
Former NFL scout and NFL.com draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah has released his latest mock draft. And in it, he has the Giants selecting Alabama wide receiver Devonta Smith.
Even after the Giants’ signing of Kenny Golladay, I still get the sense Big Blue wants more weapons. Smith is the best route runner in the draft.
I agree with Jeremiah. A lot of recent mock drafts have the Giants taking an offensive lineman with the 11th pick, but if one of the top three receivers are available, I can’t imagine them passing one of them up.
It’s all about making your team better and just imagine how good the Giants can be with Golladay, Smith, and Sterling Shepard. They would of course still have Kyle Rudolph, John Ross and Darius Slayton. You can never have too many weapons with injuries so common in the NFL.
