Jaylen Waddle will be ready for his rookie season
University of Alabama wide receiver and potential top-10 pick Jaylen Waddle suffered a nasty ankle dislocation during his final collegiate season in 2020.
The good news is that Waddle’s ankle is healing well and he will be ready to go for the upcoming NFL season.
While the New York Giants have done a nice job of loading up on weapons this offseason, adding Waddle would be the exclamation point heading into a crucial year for quarterback Daniel Jones. He’s an electrifying receiver that will make things very difficult for opposing defenses due to the mismatches that he can pose in the slot or on the outside.
I’m sure there are people who don’t think the Giants need Waddle. But you can never have too many weapons and you never know when one of your players will suffer a bad knee injury like Victor Cruz did. That injury pretty much ended his career because he was never the same.
