Giants are narrowing things down
We found out earlier in the week from ESPN’s Jordan Raanan that the New York Giants like cornerback Patrick Surtain II, wide receivers Devonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle and pass rushers Kwity Paye of Michigan and Azeez Ojulari of Georgia.
Kim Jones of the NFL Network also mentioned on Tuesday a list of six players that the Giants are interested in possibly selecting with the 11th overall pick.
The difference between Jones’ list and Raanan’s is that Kim has the Giants being interested in Micah Parsons and Jordan said there was more smoke to the idea of New York drafting him. I tend to believe Raanan because of the off the field red flags for Parsons.
Also, Jones mentioned Northwestern offensive tackle Rashawn Slater, who Raanan didn’t mention. So that might be another player the Giants could use their first round pick on.
I think if Smith or Waddle are available at 11, they have to take one of them. if they’re not, then go with Slater, Surtain or an edge rusher.
