A deal could still get done with Jason McCourty
News came out on Friday evening that the New York Giants are bringing in free agent cornerback Jason McCourty for a visit.
Later that night Dan Duggar of The Athletic reported that McCourty left the Giants’ facility without a deal.
Even though both sides didn’t get a contract done, it doesn’t mean something won’t happen. I think he could end up getting signed before the draft, but it would likely happen until afterwards once the Giants find out whether they can upgrade their secondary in the draft.
I’m sure that are numerous variables that will go into whether the Giants can or will sign McCourty. All we can do is wait and see what happens.
McCourty would be a great addition to the Giants’ roster because he could help younger players like Adoree Jackson, Darnay Holmes, Isaac Yiadom and others. He is also a mature veteran player that can help lead this team along with safety Logan Ryan.
