Andrew Thomas can still prove the doubters wrong
New York Giants’ starting left tackle Andrew Thomas didn’t have a great rookie season in 2020, but he made a lot of progress.
With that being said, ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. has Thomas ranked third among offensive tackles if he was a part of the 2021 draft class. He also had him ranked third in the 2020 NFL Draft, but the Giants still selected him with the fourth overall pick.
It’ still too early to say that Thomas was a bust. With how he improved last season I think it’s safe to say there is a really good chance that he ends up becoming one of the top left tackles in the NFL.
With Rob Sale now hired as the Giants’ new offensive line coach along with some help from former offensive line coach Pat Flaherty it’s going to be interesting to see how things look next season up front with not only Thomas, but the rest of their young line.
