NFL made some good changes to their rules
The NFL passed six new rule changes and one bylaw on Wednesday and one in particular is that they have expanded the numbers that certain positions to can use, thanks to the Kansas City Chiefs asking for the league to do so. Here they are:
- QB, P, K: 1–19
- DB: 1–49
- RB, FB, TE, HB, WR: 1–49 and 80-89
- OL: 50–79
- DL: 50–79 and 90–99
- LB: 1–59 and 90–99
Here are the rule changes.
No more overtime in the preseason makes sense for injury purposes and the fact that they are meaningless games. Some people will argue that it helps players trying to make a team. That’s fair point, but guys have enough time to prove themselves.
When it comes to the numbers we know that New York Giants’ safety Jabrill Peppers wants the number five from kicker Graham Gano and tight end Kyle Rudolph wouldn’t mind taking nine from punter Riley Dixon.
Gano has a sense of humor.
