Trading up for Kyle Pitt would be foolish
While checking out my Twitter feed this morning, I saw a tweet from Zack Rosenblatt of NJ.com that had a photo from the NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” show that came up with a mock trade that included the New York Giants.
In the trade, the Giants sent the 11th overall pick, 2021 2nd round pick, 2022 first round pick and tight end Evan Engram to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for the fourth overall pick.
By the way, the reason they mocked this trade is so the Giants can draft Florida tight end Kyle Pitts.
First and foremost, the Giants don’t need Pitts and second, it makes absolutely zero sense for them to give up so many draft assets in order to move up for a tight end.
The Giants already only have six picks in this year’s draft. If anything they need to think about trading down in order to get more picks.
The NFL Network is clearly trying fill up some air time with silly mock trades that aren’t even realistic.
