Giants could take a corner at 11
During this week’s episode of the “Breaking Big Blue” podcast, Jordan Raanan of ESPN mentioned that he believes who the New York Giants will select with the 11th overall pick comes down to five players.
Those players are Alabama wide receivers Jaylen Waddle, Devonta Smith, cornerbacks Jaycee Horn, Patrick Surtain II and offensive lineman Rashawn Slater.
“It really starts with the two wide receivers (Waddle & Smith), the two cornerbacks (Surtain & Horn) and then Rashawn Slater,” said Raanan.
In case you’re wondering, Raanan said that he sees Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons as “unlikely” for the Giants and I have to agree due to the fact that head coach Joe Judge doesn’t seem inclined to add players with possible character issues to his team.
People can also hype up the edge rushers all they want, but I’ve had the feeling all along that none of them are really good enough to be taken in the top-10 or even just outside the top-10. The top pass rushers are expected to be drafted between picks 15-32.
