Things are looking good for Saquon Barkley
It was reported earlier in the day that the New York Giants have been doing some extensive research into the running backs that are a part of the 2021 NFL Draft class. This certainly makes sense with current starter Saquon Barkley rehabbing from a torn ACL.
The good news is is that ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday that Barkley is scheduled to be ready for the start of the 2021 NFL season.
ESPN’s Jordan Raanan says he’s only heard good things when it comes to Barkley’s rehab.
Even though things look good for Barkley right now, he could suffer a setback or get injured again in 2021, which is why the Giants signed free agent Devontae Booker and need to consider drafting a running back this weekend.
If Barkley can stay healthy this coming season and quarterback Daniel Jones can play on a consistently high level, the Giants could have one of the top offenses in the NFL. All we can do now is wait and see what happens.
