Saints could make things tough for the Giants
Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News brought up something interesting about the Saints trying to move up and that is that their offensive coordinator Joe Brady coached Ja’Marr Chase at LSU in 2019.
If the Saints are trying to climb into the top-10 for Chase, it would not help the New York Giants’ efforts to select either Devonta Smith or Jaylen Waddle because unless a wide receiver needy team like the Carolina Panthers or Miami Dolphins were to trade down and pick after the Giants, it would likely mean more receivers will be taken in the top-10. In turn this would make it harder for Waddle and/or Smith to fall for the Giants.
So at the end of the day, if the Saints do move into the top-10, it could either have a negative of positive affect on the Giants, depending on who they make a deal with. That’s of course assuming that they are able to trade up.
