Kadarius Toney could be a special weapon in the NFL
It would have been nice if the New York Giants could have drafted Heisman Trophy winner, wide receiver Devonta Smith, but I think they got the next best thing in Kadarius Toney.
Toney is an electric player that can help the Giants in so many ways.
The Giants don’t need Toney to come in right away and be a top-tier receiver in the NFL. I’m sure they will have designed plays for him, but he will be able to immediately help them as a punt and kick returner on special teams.
Believe it or not, Toney can throw the football. He said he can wing it about 60 yards, during an interview with Bob Papa, Carl Banks and Sean O’Hara. This means that I’m sure the Giants and offensive coordinator Jason Garrett will draw up some option plays for him.
Lining Up All Over
Toney isn’t just a receiver, I would expect to see him line up on the outside, in the slot, in the backfield as a running back or under center a quarterback. The Giants like to run the read-option with quarterback Daniel Jones and I think Toney will be a big part of that.
