Daniel Jones needs to play a full season
New York Giants’ quarterback Daniel Jones missed a few games in 2020 after suffering a hamstring injury during the season against the Cincinnati Bengals.
During an appearance on “The Michael Kay Show” on ESPN Radio in New York on Monday, Giants’ head coach Joe Judge revealed that Jones’ injury was so bad that most players would have missed the rest of the season.
It was obvious when Jones made his first start against the Arizona Cardinals after injuring his ankle that he wasn’t his normal self.
Aside from his up and down play over his first two years in the NFL, Jones has to stay healthy as well in 2021. And it’s not going to be any easier with the league adding a 17th game to the regular season this offseason.
The Giants can get Jones all the weapons they want, which they did, but if he can’t stay healthy they won’t have a chance at making the playoffs in Judge’s second season as head coach.
