Azeez Ojulari should make an instant impact
The New York Giants may have gotten a steal after taking Georgia linebacker Azeez Ojulari in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft this past weekend.
All the Giants can hope for right now is that Ojulari’s knee holds up and that he is able to adjust quickly to the NFL and make an impact right away for the New York.
During an appearance on “The Michael Kay Show” (via Art Stapleton) on Monday, Giants’ head coach Joe Judge said that the University of Georgia’s defense is very similar to the defense that they run, which will help Ojulari.
This must also be why the Giants used the final pick of the 2020 NFL Draft on former Georgia linebacker Tae Crowder. As we saw this past season he played very well for a being a seventh round pick and I wonder if the transition from college to the NFL wasn’t that difficult for him because the defenses are very similar.
