Tom Brady is still the GOAT even though the Giants kept him from winning two more Super Bowls
Even though Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ quarterback Tom Brady has now won a total of seven Super Bowls during his NFL career, he’s willing to trade some of his rings in order to defeat the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII.
“Would you be willing to trade two Super Bowl rings to win that one Super Bowl?” Shannon Sharpe asked Brady.
“I would,” Brady replied, via Giants Wire.
Of course Brady would. If the Patriots had defeated the Giants in 2007, they would have finished the season undefeated with a 19-0 record and made history. But instead they weren’t able to win the final game and finished 18-1.
Despite all of the great memories in Brady’s career, he would love to forget about Super Bowl XLII. He admitted so back in February.
“That 2007 game is one my least favorite football memories, probably because I had a lot of you on top of me, with grass hanging off my back,” Brady said. “You guys had a great defense. You guys deserved to win.”
Well no one is perfect in this world and at the end of the day Brady will still go down as the greatest NFL player ever because no one has ever won seven Super Bowls. He could even get his eighth in 2021.
