Giants have a more complete team this year
Many people around the NFL have given the New York Giants credit for putting together a very good offseason so far in 2021. But of course things will need to translate to the football field.
One NFL executive says that the Giants will need to score at least 23 points per game in order to get into the playoffs this coming season.
“The Giants are under the radar a little bit,” the exec said, via Giants Wire. “The back (Saquon Barkley) is coming back, they got Kenny Golladay, the defense is already good. If they can score 23 points per game, they’ll be in the mix.”
This has been deal for the past several seasons when it comes to teams around the league. They typically have to score over 20 points a game just to win. The Giants only averaged 17.5 points per game in 2020, which is why they finished 6-10. Hopefully the additions of Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, Kyle Rudolph and others will help them get over the hump.
The Giants’ defense played very well last season for the talent that they had. With them being a lot better on paper this year, their offense will have even more help.
