Rodarius Williams gives the Giants much needed depth at corner
It’s only been a week since the New York Giants used a sixth round pick on Oklahoma State cornerback Rodarius Williams.
The good news is that is sounds like Williams is already enjoying himself with his new team.
After the Giants drafted him, Williams said that he had a feeling that he would end up with Big Blue.
“Oh we had a great talk. They were one of the teams that showed a lot of interest in me when we had meetings and stuff like that, drawing up plays and stuff like that. I was just showing them my knowledge of the game,” Williams said, via Giants Wire. “They really took a lot of interest in me and I’m just – I’m not really shocked that [they] picked me. I kind of had expectations to go to the Giants leading up to the draft.
“I was like, ‘This is going to be one of the teams that definitely gives me a call.”
Williams isn’t your typical rookie given the fact that he’s 25 years-old. His maturity could end up helping him earn a spot on the Giants’ roster this coming summer.
