Corey Clement is a solid player that could help the Giants
Aside from having former star wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin attend their rookie minicamp this weekend on a try out basis, the New York Giants are also having former Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl hero, running back Corey Clement in for a try out.
Jordan Raanan of ESPN reported the news on Twitter.
The Giants do need some depth at running back and Clement is only 26 years-old and is a New Jersey native from Glassboro. He went undrafted out of the University of Wisconsin in 2017.
The Giants signed veteran Devontae Booker this offseason, but don’t have any other veterans behind him and Saquon Barkley, so Clement could be a fit for them.
Clement was huge in helping the Eagles win their first Super Bowl in 2017 by catching a touchdown and helping them execute the “Philly Special.”
Clement has rushed for 655 yards with an average of four yards per carry and has 37 receptions for 340 yards and nine total touchdowns. He also has 477 return yards so he can help out on special teams.
