Evan Engram needs a big year
New York Giants’ tight end Evan Engram had a season to forget in 2020 with only one receiving touchdowns and way too drops. He did manage to grab 63 receptions for 654 yards, but failed to come through in some big moments.
The Giants added a veteran tight end to pair with Engram after signing Kyle Rudolph in free agency. That and the fact that they have a lot more viable wide receivers is why I think Engram’s production will go down this coming season.
I think Engram will end up 42 receptions for 520 yards and four touchdowns. As long as he catches everything that comes his way, those numbers will be just fine.
The reason why I don’t see Engram putting up bigger stats is because of the arrival of Rudolph and new star wide receiver Kenny Golladay, who will likely be the go to target for starting quarterback Daniel Jones.
If Engram doesn’t end his problems with dropping the football than he likely won’t be getting a contract extension with his current deal set to expire after this season.
