I don’t see the Giants making the playoffs in 2021
There are two ways that the New York Giants’ 2021 season could go. They will either ball out with all of their new weapons and make the playoffs or underachieve due to some of the questions that still linger with their roster.
Right now though I think most people on the outside don’t expect the Giants to do very well. Maurice Moton of the Bleacher Report has ranked all of the sleeper teams in the NFL heading into the upcoming season. The Giants are at number two out of five and are projected to win more than seven games. Here’s a portion of what Moton wrote:
…Golladay and Toney will join Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram in the Giants’ pass-catching group. On paper, that’s arguably a top-five unit.
Saquon Barkley’s return from a torn ACL will balance the Giants offense. If he can stay healthy along with backup running back Devontae Booker, Big Blue should have a decent ground attack.
With a stingy defense and a plethora of offensive playmakers, the Giants’ scoring potential should lead to more wins. Meanwhile, New York’s division rivals face major question marks…
The top sleeper team according to Moton is the Pittsburgh Steelers, who he has projected to win more than 8.5 games. Other teams on the list are the Arizona Cardinals, Las Vegas Raiders and Chicago Bears.
My prediction for Giants has been nine wins this season and that they will miss the playoffs.
