Evan Engram primed for a big year
New York Giants’ tight end Evan Engram had a season to forget in 2020 with so many crucial drops throughout the season.
With another week of OTA’s, Engram says he’s ready to “throw last year away” and focus on the upcoming season. He’s been working on his ball security, routes, his breaks, everything. He was also asked about being in a contract year.
“My motivation is in the moment right now. All that stuff is in the future,” Engram said, via Jordan Raanan of ESPN.
Engram says he “grinded” with his trainers down in Atlanta in order to improve his speed and agility while doing some weight training, football work.
I know Engram had some bad moments last year, but I think he’ll have a much better season this coming fall with a lot of the pressure off of him with the additions of Kadarius Toney and Kenny Golladay. If he can fix the issue he had with dops last year, I think he will get a new contract.
