Giants finally have a number one receiver
The New York Giants will be heading into the 2021 NFL season with a number one receiver after signing Kenny Golladay in free agency. But is that enough for them to be considered as a team with one of the best groups of receivers in the NFL?
Maurice Moton of Bleacher Report has ranked the top-5 wide receiving tandems in the NFL and the Giants aren’t on the list.
The teams that made the list are the Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Falcons, Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and as an honorable mention the Los Angeles Rams.
The Falcons of course can be taken off this list now that Julio Jones is heading to the Tennessee Titans.
If the Giants are going to be in the conversation as having one of the best tandems of wide receivers, who will be their number two starter this season? Darius Slayton, John Ross or even Kadarius Toney? I know Sterling Shepard is their second best receiver, but he plays his best football in the slot.
Looking at the list that Moton wrote out, I don’t think the Giants have a top-5 set of receivers yet because they don’t have a dangerous one-two punch like the teams that are listed do.
Do you believe the Giants should be on this list? If so, let me know who they should replace in the comment section below.
